Complementary Consultation: A complementary 30 minute consultation can be held if you are unsure about hiring a doula. During this consultation we will talk about how doulas provide non-medical emotional and phyical support during pregnancy, labor and postpartum. After the signing of a contract I am available by phone and email 24/7 until the birth of your baby or babies.  

Prenatal Visits: 2 prenatal visits take place and during this visit we will discuss and write a birth plan. In addition, I can also educate you on the process of labor, birthing positions, comfort techniques, and the postpartum period. These prenatal visits can be personalized specifically to your needs.

Labor and Delivery: I will be at your side as soon as you begin labor or whenever you feel you need my assistance. Whether you decide to have an un-medicated, medicated or cesarean birth my role is to support any decision you make and help you have the birth experience you want. 

Immediately After Delivery: I will remain with you for 1-2 hours, and make sure you are comfortable and settled.

 

Postpartum Visit: I will visit you 1-2 weeks following your birth to check on you, answer any questions you have, process your birth, and to get feedback from you.

Breastfeeding, Bottle feeding and/or SNS Systems: I have personal experience and knowledge in breastfeeding, bottlefeeding, using supplemental nursing systems and any of the above combo. I will be able to help you start the initial breastfeeding after the birth of your baby, guide you on how to bottle feed, and assist you if you are using/or want to use an SNS or lactaid.
